The artistic cribs shown in the oratory of San Hyacinth, near the church of Fontanegli, partecipated to a friendly competition organized by the "Friends of the Brotherhood of San Hyacinth". All visitors were welcome to vote for one of the 14 cribs in display. All works were extremely worthy and here we present a personal, and necessarily partial, choice. We do not know who won the competition.

Leardo Traverso ~ This is the creche chosen by Carla, for the accuracy of the setting and because it combines adherence to traditions with original creations of new details.

Marco Adorni ~ this is the creche chosen by Luca, for the refined nonconformism and the pleasant unusual combination of ingredients, jeans fabric , buttons, spaghetti (or bucatini) and pegs - the figures are sculpted in soap

WHERE   ~ The Oratory of St. Hyacinth in Fontanegli (see picture on the right) can be reached from Prato, where a street on the right goes over the Bisagno stream and climbs up the hill. Or from Bavari, in the Sturla valley. The oratory is located opposite to the Church. Besides the cribs, it shows also ancient paraments and objects of the Brotherhood of St. Hyacinth (pictures below) .
