The King of Stone is a mountain in the Western Alps, whose real name is Monviso, or visible mount.  Indeed, it has a very clear cut pyramidal form, which dominates the ring of the other mounts and is visible from very distant.

The river Po (Padus in latin) comes out of this mountain; it is a medium size river, but it is very important for Italy. It is the longest and biggest river and forms a vast plain, the Padana plain, which is the richest part of the country.
